The Bird Friendly® gold standard was created by Smithsonian scientists. Bird Friendly coffees grow underneath shade trees that provide habitat for birds, including migratory species. Bird Friendly farms fight climate change and its effects—shade trees sequester carbon and protect farmers’ crops from increased temperatures and rainfall.
This coffee is nutty and balanced, with a gentle red apple acidity. Smooth macadamia notes lead the cup, followed by a light almond finish. When brewed as a cold brew the red apple notes soften into a syrupy sweet caramel apple like characteristic.
