Jasmine Green Tea

This Green Tea comes from Hunan, China and features a traditional layering process to give it it’s jasmine aroma and flavor. After the tea is harvested, a bed of fresh picked jasmine flowers is layed out. The green tea is then layered over the jasmine flowers. This process is repeated creating layer upon layer of tea and jasmine flower. The heap is left to dry and rise in temperature until the desired temperature is reached. This is typically around 110-120ºF and takes about 5-6 hours. The tea leaves are then cooled, separated from the jasmine flowers and dried to lock in the delicious jasmine flavors. This tea makes a delightful cup full of fresh floral flavors. You’ll taste notes of jasmine, cherry blossoms and sweet pea.
